Since its foundation, 20min|max has developed from a regional movie night (2006) to a festival of several days´duration with nationwide importance. In 2009, more than 900 guests came to see short movies at Audi repertory cinema and Ingolstadt Theatre. Flyer, posters and a programme accompany 20min|max. Ingolstadt Theatre and xhoch4 as organisers are happy about long-time cooperation partners and sponsors who believed in the development potential of the festival right from the start.

20min|max is a short film festival, that evolved from idealism and is still based upon huge voluntary commitment in the fourth festival-year. 20min|max is actuated by the persuasion, that the festival has importance for the film landscape of Region10 and the short film scene in general.

As the festival is growing year by year and as the submissions substantially increase with respect to quantity and quality, this development shall be reflected through awards and the manning of the jury.

20min|max is hence dependent on support of sponsors or cooperation partners. The band width of grants ranges from non-cash benefit or monetary support to the donation of prizes.
